What the CVB Can Do for You

Take advantage of the complimentary services below and allow our staff to save valuable time for you and your organization. The Branson/Lakes Area CVB is devoted to gathering and providing the specific information you need to evaluate us as a potential site for your program. We can help ensure that you and your attendees get the most possible enjoyment out of your trip to the Ozarks.

Request for Information
At any stage in your site selection or event planning process, we can be your source for answers and information. We are local experts on all that Branson has to offer. We know where to find whatever it is you need.

Request for Proposal
Why contact dozens of hotels individually when one call to us does it all? Our RFP service includes pulling together information about your meeting or convention requirements and sending this to the properties in our area capable of meeting your needs. We then collect all the bids, organize and present them to you in a way that helps you easily access and understand the various offers being extended to your group.

Site Inspection Coordination
When you find one or more of the proposals provided are of interest, it may be time to visit Branson to see first-hand what your group would experience. We can assist with securing lodging accommodations and arranging the site tour appointments you request. If you need to be picked up at the airport and shuttled around, we can arrange that too. Want to see a show while you’re in town? Leave it to us to get the best seats.

Planned FAMs and “FAM-on-Demand” Program
Perhaps you are responsible for booking many programs and you are not certain which ones might be right for Branson - in that case, you might enjoy a general overview of the city and attending one of our Meeting Planner Familiarization weekends might be appropriate (typically held four times a year). Or if the dates of our next FAM do not work into your schedule, we can create a customized FAM experience just for you through our FAM-on-Demand program. Simply complete and submit the FAM Request form found on our website and we will be in touch promptly to make the arrangements for your trip to Branson.

Service After the Sale
Once you have decided to bring your program to Branson, then the real fun begins. The Branson/Lakes Area CVB is standing by to ensure that you have access to any and all of the resources that spell success for your event. While we are not a replacement for your hotel conference service or catering manager, our bureau can assist with a variety of services to enhance your group’s experience, some of which are listed below.

Welcome Letters – from the mayor of Branson, and/or the President of the Convention and Visitors Bureau are customized for your program to be included in registration materials.

Colorful Branson letterhead – is available for your use to promote your event.

Save the Date Postcards – with photos of Branson on the front and the back is blank, ready to be imprinted with your message.

E-Offers – We’ll create a customized web page with deals and discounts to local shows and attractions for your attendees to enjoy when they’re not in session.

Welcome Bag Program – These poly bags include a current show and attraction guide, a vacation guide, shopping coupon booklet, a local map and Branson pen. The bags are large enough to hold your registration materials as well! (Please allow four weeks for assembly).

Branson Greeter Program – Discover Branson’s unique charms and learn about its many offerings through a friendly, knowledgeable Branson Greeter volunteer assigned to your group. We can help you determine when and where to station them for the greatest impact and assistance for your attendees.

Registration Staffing – We can supply smiling volunteers to help distribute registration materials and answer general questions.

Promotional Materials / Media Support – Boost attendance and build excitement about coming to Branson by showing a destination video, Power Point presentation or passing out printed materials at the meeting or convention that precedes your trip to Branson. We can also support your effort to promote the event by lending a colorful pull-up display screen.

Central Housing – This service comes in handy should your group need to secure room blocks at more than one hotel. We will build a website just for your group to make their reservations on-line. We also provide live, toll free call-in reservation support and/or fax-back reservation form processing. (There is a small processing fee for this service, which is usually added to the guest room rate).

Group Recognition at Shows – Should you decide to take 20 or more of your attendees to a show, most Branson entertainers will add a special touch to show their appreciation for your attendance by recognizing your meeting or convention by name during their performance.

Dignitary Welcome Speeches – If you would like to kick off your conference with a personalized welcome message delivered by one of Branson’s local dignitaries, we will be happy to line up a city official, chamber executive or local VIP to briefly speak during your opening general session, extending a warm welcome to your attendees.

City-wide Convention Shuttle Service Coordination – For those groups using multiple hotels and who prefer to have their attendees shuttled back and forth between the convention site and their lodging, we can assist with creating schedules/ timetables and plotting the most efficient routes.

Additional Resources – Every group has special needs or unusual requests and we’re here to help. Need to arrange a spouses’ program? Book a golf outing? Hire guest speakers or an entertainer? Arrange a tour of some industry-related facility? Is it time to order flowers? Find a printer or a photographer? We can offer suggestions, advice and provide lists of suppliers. Our office is available to help direct you should you need to secure licenses, special permits or any other city services.
